The client

St. Mary’s Evangelical Lutheran Church is a Lutheran congregation in Navotas, Metro Manila, Philippines. It is a member body of a broader Lutheran church organisation in the Philippines.

The challenge

The church needed a website that connected with its congregation and reflected its community life online. A key requirement was linking the site dynamically to the church’s active Facebook page, specifically its photo gallery and feed, rather than maintaining content in two places.

What we did

WordPress theme development

Built a custom WordPress theme for the church’s site, with a clean, functional design suited to a community congregation.

Custom Facebook integration plugin

Developed a bespoke WordPress plugin connecting the site to the church’s Facebook page. It automatically pulls in the Facebook feed and gallery, so the site stays current without manual updates.

Church body website

The project grew in scope. After completing the parish site, we built a second website for the broader church organisation (churchoftheaugustana.org), giving the denomination its own online home.

Results

The parish site is live at stmarysnavotas.org, and the denomination site is live at churchoftheaugustana.org.
